Dear Friends of Jane's Exchange,
Jane's Exchange has been serving your community for over 26 years and we are faced with a crisis on how to continue our business. We do not want to see our store close, but the financial impact of this crisis has been insurmountable. We understand that everyone is dealing with so many difficult decisions and it is very tough to find ourselves in this situation.
So many of you have reached out to the three of us asking how you can help, as we navigate this devastating time. Thank you for all your encouragement and support. We have been encouraged by the community to create a Go Fund Me page, in hope that those that are able to assist us financially, can help us rebuild our store.
Our loyal customers have stayed with us through generations and have witnessed our survival of relocations, hurricanes and market crashes. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has introduced a whole new level of challenges. We sadly had to close the doors two weeks ago following the shelter in place order- an action we strongly support to put the health and safety of our staff and community first.
Following the order, our store was meticulously cleaned and all employees were instructed to stay home and stay healthy. In the meantime, bills need to get paid without the register being rung up.
Our goal is to not lose one employee during this time, and to re-open when appropriate - enabling our dedicated staff to pick back up where they left off and serve you, our loyal customers, for many years to come.
We have established a GoFundMe account in response to your desire to help. These funds will be used strictly to maintain our staff, pay our bills and rebuild the store. No contribution is too small- every dollar helps.
