Jane’s Exchange is the largest and oldest Children’s and Maternity Resale and Consignment Store in NYC. We carry sizes from pre-mature/newborn to 10 years old, and maternity/nursing. We have an expansive selection of clothing, shoes, toys, books, baby gear including strollers, car seats, and so much more! 

Our unique and child friendly store was opened 30 years ago by Eva Dorsey, a single mother with a want to serve families in the East Village community and all neighborhoods. We are now owned and operated by Eva’s daughter, Jane Dorsey, who shares the same humanitarian vision as her mother. 

We are a grass-roots business, with a mission to provide all NYC families with the opportunity to support sustainability in an ecologically and economically challenged time. Recycling through consignment is a way to help the environment, make shopping for our children more affordable, and support local business. It’s a win-win!  

At a time when chain stores and on-line shopping are taking over, we are a home grown shop that offers a wide variety of styles/brands at prices unheard of anywhere else.  The kids will enjoy our play area, and you will enjoy our endless options and savings.
